The Deutsches Museum and its branches will only be open from 13.00 to 17.00 on 13 November 2024.

Twice a year, the Deutsches Museum opens later due to a staff meeting and is then open from 13.00 to 17.00. We ask for your understanding and look forward to your visit.

The Deutsches Museum is generally open every day from 9.00 to 17.00. The museum is closed only eight days a year.

Other branches and facilities

Opening hours and closures apply to all Deutsches Museum facilities in the Munich area: the main Deutsches Museum on Museum Island, the Verkehrszentrum (transport museum), Flugwerft Schleißheim (aviation museum) and the library. 

The Archives on Museum Island are open Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00. Pre-registration is recommended.
