The Deutsches Museum and all its facilities are closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Happy holidays!

The Deutsches Museum is only closed eight days a year:

Shrove Tuesday: 4 March 2025
Staff meeting: 12 March 2025 - The museum is open from 13:00 to 17:00.
Good Friday: 18 April 2025
Labour Day: 1 May 2025
Internal Event: 5 May 2025 - The museum is open from 13:00 to 17:00.
All Saints' Day: 1 November 2025
Staff meeting: 12 November 2025 - The museum is open from 13:00 to 17:00.
Christmas Eve: 24 December 2025
Christmas Day: 25 December 2025
New Year's Eve: 31 December 2025
New Year's Day: 1 January 2026

Other branches and facilities

Opening hours and closures apply to all Deutsches Museum facilities in the Munich area: the main Deutsches Museum on Museum Island, the Verkehrszentrum (transport museum), Flugwerft Schleißheim (aviation museum) and the library. 

The Archives on Museum Island are open Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00. Pre-registration is recommended.
