The German Federal President’s Prize is awarded annually for outstanding technological and scientific innovations. It honours projects that transform basic research into marketable products.
The guided tour begins with a look at the criteria by which the prize is awarded. It then moves on to some of the award-winning inventions, such as the production of tiny chips with the help of EUV lithography, the “Panda” robot assistant or the new material carbon concrete. Finally, the development of micro-electronics is presented in more detail.
