The Chemistry visitors' lab offers bookable programmes for groups and school classes. Open programmes take place regularly.

The Chemistry visitors' lab is part of the Chemistry exhibition. Here you can carry out experiments yourself. Shake test tubes, filter or distil. Get to know typical techniques and equipment from the chemistry laboratory. Analyse samples, discover chemistry in everyday life or take an experimental excursion into the history of chemistry.

Open programme

Workshops are held regularly on Tuesday afternoons in the open programme on changing topics such as food analysis, plastics or alchemy in the visitor laboratory in Chemistry. You can find the next open programmes here on this page and in the calendar. Participation is included in museum admission, but a €0 ticket is required due to limited space. This is available at the ticket offices and the information desk on level 0.

  • The visitor laboratory is located in the Chemistry exhibition on level 1 and is barrier-free.
  • Regular open programme - see this page and in the calendar. 0€ ticket required plus museum admission - tickets are available at the information desk in the entrance hall.

  • Suitable for school classes from year 8, adult groups
  • Maximum 16 people
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Course fee: €80 plus museum entrance fee
  • Please note that the bookable programmes can only be carried out on Mondays between 9 am and 1 pm
