The Deutsches Museum on the “Museumsinsel” opened its gates in May 1925. It had been under construction for many years, which made the inauguration and opening all the more festive. A parade with decorated floats led through Munich on 5 May 1925: Schoolchildren were given time off school to see the beautifully decorated floats on the streets of Munich.
In May 2025, 100 years later, we will be celebrating 100 years of Museumsinsel with lots of activities. And we have organised something special for schoolchildren: An action day with free admission and a varied programme. Come to the museum on Friday, 9 May and take part.
We offer programmes for classes with registration and a variety of open offers where you can join in spontaneously. There are also special digital offers to explore the museum on your own.
We look forward to your visit.
