The exhibition by the Munich Centre for Machine Learning (MCML) offers an insight into current research into artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on the field of computer vision.

Computer vision is based on the endeavour to imitate computers' ability to see. This is achieved through the development of algorithms and models. They are able to understand, interpret and react to visual data from images or videos. The basic principles range from image and object recognition to the spatial analysis of scenes.

The MCML is a joint research initiative of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Technische Universität München and one of six national AI competence centres in Germany. The centre aims to strengthen basic research in the field of machine learning with a strong focus on real-world applications.
