The tower of the Deutsches Museum is not only an architectural landmark of the building, but also serves as a weather station, transmission mast, home to Foucault's Pendulum, and now once again as a viewing platform. Finally, the museum tower is accessible again and offers a fantastic panoramic view of the city from a height of 65 meters.
The entrance is located on the ground floor between the Model Railway and the Bridges and Hydraulic Engineering exhibitions. A total of 312 steps lead to the top, and from the meeting point on level 3, there are still 185 steps to the observation deck. An access ticket must be purchased in advance at the information desk in the entrance hall.
Tower tours take place regularly on weekends, public holidays, and during school vacations. The first tour begins at 9:30 a.m., and the last ascent is at 4:00 p.m.
