Health

The ceiling painting "The Art of Healing" has already been moved to the new permanent exhibition Health. It was painted in 1922 by Waldemar Kolmsperger (1852-1943) for the Deutsches Museum. Paintings in Neuschwanstein and in St. Nikolaus in Murnau are also by Kolmsperger.

Connecting walkway

To ensure that the part of the building on the Cornelius Bridge remained accessible, a 117-meter-long light corridor was built. It connected the physics exhibition with the special exhibition space and the Center for New Technologies until fall 2020.

Removal

Part of the exhibition building had to be cleared out in 2016 for the modernization of the museum. Here, the starfighter is being lifted onto a low-loader with the help of a crane and taken to the Schleißheim airfield.

Electronics

The scaffolding for the large "scrap tornado" was erected in the Electronics exhibition on the second floor. In the meantime, it has been hung there with electronic scrap by the sculptors of the Deutsches Museum.
