Eyke Hüllermeyer holds the Chair of Intelligent Systems and Machine Learning at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute of the University of Paderborn. He studied mathematics and business informatics in Paderborn, where he received his PhD with honours in 1997 from the then Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Following a two-year research stay as a Marie Curie Fellow at the Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse (IRIT) in France (1998-2000), he habilitated in computer science in 2002. Before returning to Paderborn in 2014, he held professorships at the universities of Marburg (2002-2004), Dortmund (2004), Magdeburg (2005-2006), and Marburg (2007-2014).
